I just adore everything about the whole scene. I headed to my favourite coffee shop to get photos of the two quilts together because that barn door is pretty much the perfect backdrop for every thing. To quilt I decided to keep it really modern and do a grid design, which was lovely and quick while still being striking – always a bonus! To bind I used Confetti Cottons – Butterscotch. I do wish I added a few more snowy peaks but I was playing it safe. I opted to use the option for snow-capped peaks for this Cot-size version and I love the final look. I made my second version using the Timberland by Riley Blake Designs which has just hit stores and, as predicted, it was perfect for this design. The Pinnacle Quilt in the Mini size with sashing (left) and cot size with snow-capped peaks (right)Ī few of you have been waiting patiently for the Pinnacle Quilt since I spoke about it in my Rocky Mountain Wild blog post last month and I can tell you the end result is just beautiful.
